7mm Rem Mag to 26 Nosler?

I have a Ruger M77 with the tang safety in 7mm Rem Mag that I was thinking of re-chambering in 26 Nosler. I'm not sure if the bolt will work or not, can anyone tell me if it will work or a new bolt will be needed? Thank you.

I did a 28 on a 7rem in a Sako 85 and it worked fine.

It should only rattle a little going down the bore, but I think it will be ok. Maybe I should have also stated the obvious of a new barrel.

I'm not sure what would be so dangerous about fitting a new barrel in a magnum receiver for another magnum caliber. If there is some reason not too please explain.
