7mm PRC spin offs.

Sherman has a 6 PRC SI reamer and dies. Considering a build on that or 6 Sherman Max. No brass for either though.

That would be a bad hombre slinging 153.5-156 class bullets, and not quite as silly as the 6.5-300wby.
7prc brass =81 grs ADG?
300wby brass=90grs Nosler
Like a modernized .264 Winnie.

Yes the 6.5-300 wby and 26 Nosler both seem to be past diminishing returns OUT OF CONVENTIONAL BARREL LENGTHS anyway. When you see how much more performance that case capacity gains going to 7mm it tells a story, and same with the full length RUM case going from 7mm to 30 making such a huge difference in muzzle energy possible out of a 26 inch pipe.

Guys running 30 inch and longer probably see some further velocity benefit from these ultra overbore rounds.

This is some of the reamers UM has coming in. Copied this list from a post on another forum. A couple are on the 7 PRC case.

1. 22 UM (Don't even ask)
2. 8.6 Blackout
3. 6-7 PRC (Wheeler butt)
4. 6-6.5 PRC (Wheeler butt)
5. 338 Norma
6. 25 Creedmoor (Blackjack)
7. 25 SAUM
8. 25-6.5 PRC (Wheeler butt)
They updated the post to say currently have a 6.5-7 RRC IMP. In their shop.

Too bad! I'm asking! 🤣

What the heck is a .22 UM????

What tube length for the 6-7prc? Remember the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth on the 6-300wsm.....

Is 22 um prc or saum based? Memory is hazy but there was a post somewhere on it.

Found it on another forum. Appears to be a .22 SAUM. some time ago a different fella did this and called it the .220 redline. 75 grain amax exceeding 4000 fps. No comment about barrel life.

Interesting, is it no turn or is it like the 22 redline with neck trimming?

Not sure but their 6 UM is SAUM based.

Kris

So prc is same volume as wsm, but setup for longer bullets.... could get potentially more usable case and potentially 3 down. Could be interesting with some new tougher high b.c. bullets.
