7mm mag to 264 mag

Can you neck down 7m mag brass to 264 mag and it will be ok with no problems

I've not tried it ,but it looks like it could work.They are both takeoffs of the
375 H&H as a parent cartridge.Lube one up good and try running it in a die slowly a little at a time.

I take once fired WW 7mm Rem mag cases and just lube them up with Hornady One Shot Spray lube and run them in my 264 Win mag die with one quick motion and they come out perfect. I trim to min. length, de-burr the inside of the case flash hole pop in a CCI 250 primer then drop in 66.5 grs Retumbo and seat a 130 Nosler Accubond COAL 3.450 which is 10 thousands off my lands and go kill stuff. I get 3350 fps average out of my 27 3/4" Shilen barrel. Flatt shooting and hard hitting.

IIRC the 7MM R.M. was originally a wildcat made by necking 264 Win. Mag. up to 7MM. Should work just fine going the other way.
