7mag 162 eldx

Ok I have limited bullets for a 7mag and 162 eldx bullets. Anyone shoot them or have a pet load ?

Yes they shoot wonderful out of my remington 700 LR 7rem. I use RL26, I can't remember the load it's been awhile since I loaded any.

Have good luck with H1000 @ 67.1 grains = 3000fps. = 1/2" or better moa out of a Savage 111 long range hunter.

I've found them to be very accurate near max load, but in my experience their terminal performance on game has been somewhat erratic. I won't use them for serious hunting.

I use 70 grs. Of H1000 gives me 2900 I hear reloader 26 works great but I can't find it

I just shot some in my R700LR with MRP powder, 61 and 62 grains. 1moa but I just threw them together to see how they would shoot.

I use 67 gr H1000 with 162 ELD-X in a Savage at 2935. Shoots sub 1/2 MOA. Worked on a black bear at 330 yds and a whitetail buck.

Where in the world did you get MRP? Through all my research I seen that was a great powder for the 7RM right there with R22. You must have had it for some time

I will have an answer for you as soon as I can make it back to my loading room. I'm still healing from a knee replacement. But if I remember correctly you can seat them as long as the mag will allow.

I've had it for a couple years. I bought some powders that were available that would work for me when I couldn't get what I had been using. As for COAL, with the 162 in my rifle max is 3.410. Rifle not throated long and rifling is 9.25 twist.
