I just ask because I see a lot of velocities that seem like they would be hard on brass to say the least. If I want a bullet to go faster, I just buy a bigger gun, it's a bit of a problem.
I don't think you'll see that on a short action that feeds. That's probably about right in a long action with the bullet seated way out.
That being said, it seems a bit slow to me as well. I was thinking I could get it to 2900-2950. H-1000 might be better, but I never got it to shoot, I went up to 65.0 of H-1000, but didn't bother with the chrono because I couldn't get it under 1 1/2".
I've had good luck with this bullet in other rifles at .060-.080 off which might reduce pressure a bit in my saum and I might be able to push it a little more, but I don't see the point. It's a light rifle, it's accurate, and easy to shoot with this load and no brake.
