7 saum build with proof pre-fit barrel action length.

I have read that the 7 saum benefits from a long or xm action over the short. What I can't seem to find is if it is still beneficial if I go with a proof pre-fit barrel. I want to build on a defiance anti action and will be primarily for backpack hunting elk and deer. Thanks.

The XM action is perfect for the saum.

Here's my problem with defiance xm, the actively went to different inletting/action screw spacing vs Stiller, lone peak and now zermatt. Hawkins is now coming out with bdl, m5 oberndorf, m5 hunter and the existing m5 tactical for all these actions, but defiance due to its incompatibilities. Stock/chassis options will gacor the others vs xm as well.
