7 mm Rem Mag.

Posted this rifle in another area of the site. I finished up my little bit of work I did to a stock savage 10 7 mm Rem Mag. Lapped the lugs, polished the feed ramp, polished the lugs and installed a new Bell and Carlson stock on her. Can't wait to go plink some steel with her.

Nice looking gun. I have a 7 mag and love it. What do you plan on shooting out of her? I'm using H-1000 and 180 hybrids and doing alright. Always fun doing some mods and then wanting to shoot even more.

IAHNTR I am looking to run Imr 7828 scc but will also try the h-1000. How well does the H-1000 burn over a CCI 250 primer? And I am thinking of running a batch of 120 grain pills I found first and then bump up to the heavyweight SMK VLD bullets.

I have had great luck with the CCI 250's and that's what I use. Never a problem with them. I am running 69.4 gr. h1000 under the 180's for right around 2940fps. As always work up. I did shoot up to 70.4 gr but accuracy wasn't there and that was too hot.
