Looking to build once cry once. I have barrel with 10 twist 6 dasher. I want to run 64 grain Berger column bullets on the light side. Any concrete freebore specs I should be looking for? Maybe I'm just overthinking everything but want to be able to engage rifling.

The simple solution for specific throating is to choose your favorite reamer maker and order a reamer with their suggestions. Use a dummy round with your bullet seated as you want in the case and send it along with your request.

Otherwise, order a standard short throat reamer and then order a throating reamer for your gunsmith to use to create the throat length you want using the dummy cartridge.

Enjoy!

I've ordered a custom from PT&G with .050 fb, just an eight week wait. My smith has .124 fb. I'm sending him a dummy cartridge to see if he can hit rifling in chambers he cuts with that reamer. If he can I will cancel order and ship everything to him and cut the wait in half.
