Anyone using this round to hunt with I am considering it as a build
in a Varmint weight barrel at 25" plus a brake
wonder how well it preformed on game and what loads/bullets are being used
Thanks

It works great, no different than any of the other similar size 6.5 cartridges. Bullet selection is good from 120 NBT's to 140 A-max, all depends on what you are trying to do with it.

I'm running a Swift Scirocco at 2900 fps in mine. Accuracy is under 1/2 inch at 100 yds. Norma powder 42 gr. Have to ck which one... Lots of folks run the Bergers and have good success. The Scirocco will hold together a little better. Some have trouble getting them to shoot. Took an antelope with it this fall. Did a good job. Bruce

I have a 6.5x47, 22 in. for hunting. 130 grn. LRAB, varget, getting almost 2900 fps. Only 1 kill, a mule deer at 200 yds. Bullet went through chest area w massive damage and out the other side.
I have another 6.5x47 that is a heavier platform that I use for long range fun, also 22 in. I really like the round.
