6.5x47 140gr powder?

Given the three powders you have in inventory, although all of them may work, I would start with RL17. The optimal powder would be H4350.

Anyone have experience with 6.5x47 with 140gr berger hunting in a 26" barrel?

Powders available

RL15
RL17
Varget

Any input?

Thanks

Yes, I now shoot 140 hybrids. My first choice is H-4350 for speed and accuracy. R-17 will also run them if the accuracy is there. Varget is known to be very accurate in this cartridge with 123-140's but will not give top FPS with the 140's however it wouldn't surprise me if it was the most accurate.
The amount of free bore will determine where you will top out in charge weight. What free bore are you running?

I'm running RL-17 and H-4350 in my 6.5x47 with great accuracy and decent speeds. Getting 2820 fps with H-4350 and 2860 fps with RL-17 put of a 28" Benchmark barrel. Also I am using the 140gr Berger Hybrid.

I don't have any experience with that particular caliber, but I have always thought H4350 was an under rated powder. It is all I use on a 243 win with all bullet weights in all temps.
