What does your barrel marking say? 6.5SS? Or 6.5SS/B?
The original chamber was the old brass.
The /B chamber is for current brass.
There really is no "fire forming" needed, as the brass is fully formed. You just need to neck it down from 7mm+ to 6.5mm. I do it in 3 stages myself, so I don't collapse a 40° annealed shoulder.
Brass is ADG custom, so it is going to cost a bit more. But it is good brass. I have up to 8x firings on some of my 6.5SS brass, still going strong.
I have quite a few Sherman chambered rifles. I really like them. They are great, but I always stay off the max end for my own stuff. But a couple are still running pretty warm.
But they are definitely a wildcat, and must be handloaded for. Or you can find someone willing to load for you.
