Greetings everyone ... I'm new here and devouring every bit of it. Maybe I finally have a source for long needed information. I am looking for a source of information on reloading date for my 6.5 Gibbs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The below information was shot from a 16" Encore handgun barrel. The CE designation is basicly the Gibbs design with a super tough RWS rimmed case. Slower burning powder as in H4831 and a longer barrel will destroy these velocities.

I would drop down 2-3 grains and start reloading.

Test for the 6.5 R Cooper Express are as follows.

1. 57grs H414 and 100gr ballistic tip. 3140 one jagged hole

2. 57grs H414 and 100gr partition 3112 one inch

3. 55grs H414 and 120gr Ballistic tip 3040 one inch

4. 55grs H414 and 125gr partition 2935 one jagged hole

5. 55grs H414 and 130gr Accubond 2912 1/2 inch

Not conclusive data as far as accuracy. Major inversion here so targets at 100 yards were not completely visible at times. I am loading 20 of the 125 grain partitions for The opener Friday. H414 left lots of smoke blowing back into my face. May try some H380 or N150 in the future.
