Anyone have a safe starting point for reloading 6.5 gap 4s? I was looking to use 147 ELDMs and n570,n565 or H1000. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

I run N570 in my 6.5 gap 4s with a 147 eld. I would start out at around 58 grains. At some point you will have to drop the N570 in with a long drop tube funnel in order to get the bullet seated. With Norma/prime brass: 63.5gr n570 is a warm load for me. With ADG brass: 65gr n570 is a warm load. I have a generous amount of headspace, so.... Those loads would be even hotter in a tight chamber. Don't attempt those loads without working up.

My GAP4'S shot Knats *** with 59.3 H1000 Berger 140 HVLD. I recently had the barrel chopped to 19.5inches. I worked up to 61.5g chasing my old speed . No pressure signs.
Bud what are you getting with 61.5? I lost 80 fps chopping the extreme hunter down to 20", using 61.0 H1000 with 139 scenar. Might bump it up 0.5 grains.

I'd start at 57-58gr of H1000 with the 147ELD.
My load is 60gr of H1000 with Federal 215 Match primer and GAP brass. 3060 out of a 26" barrel.

3050. I've actually just starting loading 139 Scenars with RL26. I'm down to just 1lb of H1000 and 75 HVLD'S. I thought I'd try something more readily available
