If anyone has some spare time and QL, if they could give me some load info on my new build, it would be appreciated.
I had my 270 rebarreled to a 6.5-06 with a 25" barrel. I'm hoping to get good results with the 143 gr. ELDX bullets.
I currently have H4350, IMR4350 and H4831sc but if another powder works up better, I'll go pick some up.
Thanks in advance

I would start at around 50.0g 4831sc is where I would start. IMR 7977, Norma 217 or retumbo should all be viable also.

I built one earlier this year. Mine has a 26" barrel plus a break. I have the 1 in 9 twist. So I have not tried any real long bullets.

Mine seems to really like 129's and 130's.

H4350 (49.5) and H4831(55.0).

With the H4350 load above it shoots .5moa at 100yds.

Remember COAL and Case volume changes a lot of the velocity and pressure. When working up a load watch for velocity as higher velocity means higher pressure with in the same Powder. You could have loose barrel or tight barrel (fast or slow, tight being fast, that means higher pressure) If you load to a longer COAL and are not jamming the lands then you will have higher case volume available as well as a case with higher H2O volume will allow for more grains of powder without hitting pressure levels. Once you have established what COAL you can use and what the case volume is we can run numbers again.
I have a 6.5 Creedmoor and use HBN coated bullets. I load to a COAL of 2.88 - 2.890" with 143 ELD-X bullets and using RL26 I am able to get 2999 fps with in pressure, when testing I got 3054 fps but according to QL I was up at the 70K marl for pressure.
It is possible for you to hit 3100 fps with HBN coating on your bullets.

Thanks bowfishn, I owe you one. That info gives me a great starting point.
Between salmon fishing and deer season going on, I'm hoping to get to the range with my new toy.

My buddy had a 6.5-06 and H4831 with 120 to 140 gr bullets is what worked for him.

Vit n 165, CCi br 2 140 Berger 3027fps, single digit es, was the best in my gun.

Last time I shot it, 4" 3 shots at a 1000

Also try retumbo, my buddy's rifle like it. H-1000 is also good, never shot rl-26 mine shoots so good not messing with it, I have had it to 3200 fps but good with the 3027fps load. Good luck.. great round you won't miss he 270!!

Been a couple years, but RL25 and 140 Accubonds worked well in 8 and 9 twist barrels. 142 Matrix was also good in the 8 twist, but useless in the 9
