Need a good starting point for reloading on 6.5/284. White tail 600 yd max. All suggestions appreciated.

Long or short action and bullet weight would be helpful. My long action shoots the 143gr ELDX over RL23, I'm just under book max for the 147gr eldm. If you go with this combo I'd start at 48-49 gr and work up from there looking for pressure signs.
