598 Yard Aoudad

This incredible free range West Texas Aoudad was shot at a distance of 598 yards by Joe using a 28 Nosler and the 143 Hammer Hunter. After being shot it rolled down hill about 100 yards. His load data has the bullet traveling 3500 FPS using N-570. Congratulations Joe in awesome Aoudad and hunt.

The 28 is a hammer…I imagine that 143 is smoking out of that—3500 is varmint rifle type speeds…well done

Most of the 28n's that we have loaded with the 143g Hammer Hunter and n570 we have been able to get 3600 fps or so comfortably. This, IMO, is one of the two most effective combos you can get in a factory chamber.
