397 Yard Black-Tail Buck

Jason sent us pictures of a California Black-tail Buck he shot with a 6.5 PRC at 397 yards, using a 124-grain Hammer Hunter. He said, "The buck dropped in its tracks, and that shoulder picture shows the exit wound as I found him. There was no manipulation of the exit hole." More importantly, he spent time hunting with his son, creating a lifetime of memories and passing on the hunting tradition to the next generation.

Looks like a typical Hammer kill - weirdly small hole, animal that never ran dead on the ground.

Anyway the old chart i use only has data for every 50 yards.
