338 Norma Magnum Throat

I just received my 338 Norma back from the smith. He asked what bullets I wanted to shoot and I told him 300 & 250 gr. Bergers. Does this look right? Pics show bullets touching rifling.

Curious... what COL (touching rifling) are others seeing in their 338 Norma's?

I'm at 3.743 and I'm approx .012 off the lands with the 300 OTM seems to work better off the lands anyway.

I shut down load development until I can get some 300 Bergers.

Nothing wrong with jumping the 250's. I think you might end up liking the 250's more than the 300's in this case.

A lot of 338 bullets like to be jumped so you should be okay. As long as your mag is long enough you should be fine.
