Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and taking my first steps to long range shooting. I have a Savage 110 FCP in .338 Lapua, sporting a Vortex 5-25 x 50 scope. I had it bedded, and a trigger job.
So I scored a bunch of pulled Bullets from Americanreloading.com, which I figure will be cheap training rounds. Also some SMK 300 grn. HPBT.
My questions are; what recipes do you guys like for the SMKs with the Savage 110? Are they a decent bullet for elk? Should I drop down to a lighter bullet?
I'm interested in eventually getting out to 1000 yards, I'm thinking this rifle will do that. Thanks in advance for any advice!
