Curt from Curt's Archery and Custom Rifles in Sutherlin, Oregon did the work. A friend bedded it, and another gunsmith put together the extension and recoil pad on the stock.

Was there much work involved with using the VLS (short action) stock for your magnum length action and mag well?

The VLS stock was a long action stock.

Didn't think they made a LA vls stock, rifle is a beauty. I am thinking about building a an Edge or 300 Rum on my Surgeon action.
