338 Edge powder?

Putting together a 338 Edge.
Defiance Anti X, Proof 9.4 twist sendero.
I have some 260 Hammer Hunters.
I see on the spreadsheet 338 rum guys are using RL 26 and H1000. I use Ramshot magnum in my 338 Rum with 280 LRX. Should I start with one of these or is there a better option? I know hammers like a little faster powder.

I ran RETUMBO in mine, loved it and then tried US689.
Best powder for it

I have run retumbo, magnum, rl33, lrt, n570 with many differwnt weight pills and they all are acceptable to me.

I know a well known GS who mentioned to me while we were on a hunting trip that he swears by H1000 in his EDGE.

N570 gave the best results in mine
H1000 was second
But I was using 300 grain SMK's

It took a while but finally ended up using H1000 in my 338 Edge.

88 grains of H1000 pushes a NOSLER 300GR

The 260 hammers actually weigh 262 grs. 96.5 of n570 is getting me 3K with accuracy. Start lower and work up.

I ran H-1000 in all 4 of my 338 Edge rifles. But that's the only powder I had at the time . 90.4 gr 300 gr EH bergers @ 2884 ft.per.sec in a 1/10 twist 30" barrel. They were hole in hole st 100 yd and a 26 3/4 " 3 shot group at 3027 yards .

Now I'm almost ready for the 2 mile test with Nv570..a buddy just had a 338 Edge built with the +P throat and is pushing the 300 gr berger at 3147 ft.per.sec in a 30 " barrel. That's Exciting !

All I can say is the 300 gr berger is bad news on Elk and Bears !
