.308 + 208 amax + rl-17 + new to realoading = confused

Trying to load up some 208 amax's backed by some rl17. From guys that are using this combo, do you have long chambers, or are you compressing loads? I can't imagine a 208 amax fitting on top of 49 gr of rl17. I have a long action, so length is no issue unless I run into the lands(my understanding is that amax's don't want to be there).

Well, answered my own question. Just needed to search some more. Thought compressed loads were a bad thing..makes total sense now. All are seated and ready to smoke the chrono.
