G'day all,
I am totally confused here and unsure of what I am seeing.
Have measured the touch in my RUM using a 200g Accubond I had on hand.
I have measured from the case mouth, not counting the extra room in the chamber, to the touch point on the rifling at .300" diameter. I get .290" of throat length.
When I look up the SAAMI drawing, it states there should be .110" of straight leade, then .259" of 1° taper to the rifling.
I'm not getting that.
I do this all the time, also print up reamer drawings to have them made, something is not adding up here.
The rifle in question is a Rem 700 SPS, untouched by me other than a bedding job.
Thoughts??

Cheers.
