300rum / h 4831sc ??

Does anyone use h- 4831sc powder in their 300rum if so what kind of results did you get? I currently use h-1000 but with the powder shortages we have today a feller can't be to picky thanks in advance for your feed back.......

Yes.

I like 4831sc with the lighter bullets (Up to 180gr) but for 180+ I use slower powders
like the H869 and 50bmg.

H 4831sc measures well and produces low SDs and good groups.

I shoot 200 and 220gr bullets and don't have a load for the 210 bergers ,But if you start at around 98 grs and work up you will be ok.

I load 104grs behind the 220gr but I do have .050 thousandth bullet jump with my load
and with the bergers you probably are seated long and within 4 or 5 thousandths of the
lands, so you will have to back off on the loads I use.

It is good powder and well worth trying.

I load 180 accubond in the 300 ultra with 87.0 H4831, bullet is on the lands. (moly bullets) this is starting to get warm in my gun. shots great, 3400 fps in a 29" barrel. Start at 84gr and work up.
