300 wsm LOAD DATA FOR BLACK BEAR

Guys,
Won a Savage 14 300 WSM at an NRA raffle, Wondering what a good Va Black bear (200-275lbs) load would be. 75-150 yds is probably the shot range. Im considering the Hornady 180gr RN.

Don't know about Va. But here in north Idaho I use a 300wsm with h4350 215Ms and 165 and 168s Barnes tsx or tipped tsx. Never had a bear go more than a 100yds with heart lung shot. If you like shoulder shots you could go with a heavier bullet but beware of magazine length and feeding.
