Anyone use 75.0 of IMR 4350 with 180gr flat base in the 300 Win Mag

I noticed it was very popular in the 60's ............

The original 300 Win load............

Yes, 'twas a popular load years ago. While a bit too hot (above SAAMI pressure specs) in some rifles, cutting the charge to 72 grains was popular with Sierra's 180-gr. HPMK bullet in long range matches. Leaving a 1:12 or 1:13 twist barrel at 3100 fps spun them in the right rpm range for best accuracy.

I also have some Norma Dual-Core 180gr really nice bullets........i believe their late 60 vintage........with the Nickle jacket ........a blast from the past.

60's...!!! Heck it's used today...... I load for many 300's using 4350 but the H version...as a matter of fact I use H-4350 for just about everything from 6m-..338 am....it just might be the one perfect powder for everything, it's cleaner than those slow powders!
