Hello this is my first post. My savage LRH 300 wm chamber is 2.653 id like to trim to. 010 less. I know 65k is a lot of pressure. Will this be advisesble? My longer neck calibers all have less runnout ive tried .303 mandrel with lee neck die im just not satisfied with 1 moa. 800 rounds down tube. Im running 75.3 rl22 win brass(ALL PREP WORK) 178 amax WLRM primers( next week gm210m) @ 3050fps. Also thinking about HS stock probably my last accustock ill ever buy.

Huh??? take it easy and be concise but wordy enough that we can get your drift without seeing what you are talking about.

Are you having an accuracy issue with your savage 300 win??

Sorry for rambling. I am having savage issues and i think that i would like to trim my necks to within .010" of chamber length. 300 win has such short necks i was wandering if anyone else grows them long also to help accuracy?

My experience has been that the 300WM is very capable of achieving runout measurements of .002" or less using the standard case. If your run outs are high I would look to your sizing and, or, your seating dye as the source of the high runout first. I'd be very cautious about extending your neck length with a standard chamber. IMHO

What he said- I'd be worried that the front of the chamber would have at least a bit of taper....

My runnout with the hornady guage is >.002. What do u guys think of those accustocks I have both
kinds regular and 10ba accu-WEDGE and I seem to always have better luck with bedding b&c or h-s stocks. I heve reserched and it doesnt sound like a good idea to try to experiment with accustocks besides action torque values. Would you recommend any tricks for accustocks or try re-stocking it?

Before I go through all that Im going to try gm210m or cci250 primers.
