300 ultra with 208 Amaxs

Loading my BIL gun he wants to shoot 208 Amaxs

Looking at using H1000 what kind of weights are you running as far as powder ?

I was going to use Berger loads for the 210VLD s and start out mid way ?

What kind of velocity are you seeing

It's a stock Remington sendaro with a 24" tube with a vias brake .

I would try 89-91 grains with a cci 250. I would think the velocities would be 3000+ with a 26" barrel. Not sure why anyone would cut that barrel down.

you are correct it is a 26" barrel , just wondering why Hornady does not list the 208 Amax for the ultra mag in the manual ?

Hornady doesn't list the 225 hpbt in the current manual with the 30 rum either. but it sure does well in mine.
