.300 Rum

Way excited my .300 RUM is almost done. Trevor @ Cloud Peak Gunworks has been building my guns. This one has a Brux Barrel, Timney Trigger, Wyatt box, Sako Extractor, H&S Stock, Muzzle Break, Cerakoted Graphite, Spiral fluted bolt, Huskemaw Scope. I am going to run Berger 185's just because I have 5 boxes of them. Ultimately I would prefer to run the Berger 215's but we will see how they shoot. [/ATTACH]

I think its a 4? I will have to ask him. I ask him to make me a shooter and he does exactly that! I have a 7mm CPG also and it shoots reaaaaaaal good!

I wouldn't worry too much about using the Berger 185's. I use the 185 gr. Juggernaut OTM Tactical in my 300 Jarrett with great success long range. Very tough bullet BTW.

Great looking rifle! I shot the 185gr Berger's in my 300RUM and they shot good, so I think you should be ok with them.

What load/length were you using I couldn't get ther 185s to shoot in mine. Sitting on 2 1/2 boxes of them. Lol I stepped it up to the 230gr Bergers and it shoots really good!

Great looking rifle! I shot the 185gr Berger's in my 300RUM and they shot good, so I think you should be ok with them.

Great looking gun. My 300RUM really likes the 208 A-Max and at about 1/2 the price of the Berger it is a consideration. Don't get me wrong, the Bergers are real good also. I am working through a batch of the 230 Hybreds that are looking real good. Not as good as the 208's right now but I am getting 3000 and still messing with seating. Best of luck ...love the big 30's.gun)

Thanks Dave. I almost turned my .300 rum into .338 rum but decided I need one of those also lol. I am just waiting on bolt fluting @ this point. I am ready to test drive it for sure!

I will post pics as soon as its complete. I have a buddy who had one built a month ago to the exact specs of mine. He is shooting 96.0 h1000 3.058 comparator length 215 fed primer & 185 booger vld. He has been making nice bug hole groups but running a bit slower than where I run mine. He has been right in the 3250 fps range.
