300 RUM Improved Worth It?

I know the RUM is close to improved already. And the velocity gain probably would not be that much. But would it be worth it to help with pressure and make the brass last longer? The chambering job will cost the same. I'm considering 200 pcs of brass to last the life of the barrel. If you can find a accurate fireforming load it would all be roses.
Also, would a improved RUM case run through a magazine?
