300 PRC 181 HAMMER

Been looking for some 181 hammer data for 300 PRC and can’t seem to find much for loads with Retumbo, so I thought I’d share. Ended up at 84.5 gr of Retumbo in lapua brass. 3.565 OAL and 3100 fps. Shot a .385 at 100 from a factory Bergara wilderness ridge. Anyone else using something close to this combo?

I just started with the same bullets and brass in mine two weekends ago. I tried rl23, rl26 and h1000. Rl23 and h1000 were showing that they should be the most accurate and got 3100fps out of them. Rl26 was around 3200fps. I was working up in .3 grain intervals to find pressure so not really sure how good it will group yet but found a good node with both at 3100. Mine is a proof research 24” 1-9 twist but it was brand new to start this so it might speed up a little. I was using cci 250’s

If that holds up at distance I don't believe you'll need to look any farther.

I'm going to load the 199s in my 30 nos in the spring and i was thinking 82-84 would do it.
