Been looking for some 181 hammer data for 300 PRC and can't seem to find much for loads with Retumbo, so I thought I'd share. Ended up at 84.5 gr of Retumbo in lapua brass. 3.565 OAL and 3100 fps. Shot a .385 at 100 from a factory Bergara wilderness ridge. Anyone else using something close to this combo?

I just started with the same bullets and brass in mine two weekends ago. I tried rl23, rl26 and h1000. Rl23 and h1000 were showing that they should be the most accurate and got 3100fps out of them. Rl26 was around 3200fps. I was working up in .3 grain intervals to find pressure so not really sure how good it will group yet but found a good node with both at 3100. Mine is a proof research 24" 1-9 twist but it was brand new to start this so it might speed up a little. I was using cci 250's

I have a Gunwerks Nexus in 300 PRC, twist is 1-9, if use Gunwerks brass how close to your load as far as grains of powder of the Retumbo do you guess i would be at?

I've got a 22" seekins.

Just ordered the 182gr hammer for my 300prc.

Any ideas on where to start

I've got N570, RL26, N568, H1000

Accuracy! Looking to hit an MOA at 1000
I haven't shot mine further than 600 yards yet. The wind always seems to be blowing a lot when I planned to. This was the last two shoots I fired at 600 yards they were less than 3/4" apart.

Dang.

Ya I usually do 600 yard ladder test in .5 increments. Look for 2-4 shots in a row that hit with in a 3/4 MOA on relatively same levels.

Then I'll seat depth. Just trying to find like starting powder ranges for these.

Currently I shoot 82 gr of n570 with Berger 205s

I had a flat spot in velocity from 84-84.5 grains and 86 was definitely building pressure and I like to be at least one grain under that. I was only able to shoot 100 yards the day I did it and 83-85 were all touching as well.
