So I came across this brass the other day, just 300 magnum on the headstamp. It measures .20" longer than 300 Win mag. I'm assuming it 300 Weatherby since it measures out really close to the same, but never been around either round.

Think that is really old brass before Weatherby made there own, could be collector type stuff.Dont quote me on this.Unoin Metallic Cartridge

Weatherby brass was made by Remington, Winchester and Bonanza while the Weatherby line was still proprietary, therefore, the Weatherby name was omitted from the name on the brass.
I remember my first 300 Weatherby running such named UMC brass and I was questioned as to what it was, as the rifle, a Winchester Model 70, also only had '300 Magnum' stamped on the barrel. In fact, my buddy had an identical model that said the same, but his was a pre '64 and was actually a 300H&H, mine was a 70's post '64 push feed.

Cheers.
