30-40 Krag load data

Hello.

Anyone who happens to have any reloading data for this round using vihtavouri powder? N-160 or similar?

I used to load that for a friend about 40 yrs ago but never tried vv powder in it

I Have the latest Hornady book, Loads listed for VV N-160 and 165 or 168 bullets:

Starting grains 41.1 Max 47.7

176-180 gr bullets:

Starting grains: 39.5 Max : 44.1

I would start low and probably never reach max if you are shooting a Krag Jorgensen Rifle, They only have one locking lug and are prone to cracking, I have an SMLE I built in 30-40 Krag and a Martini so I would not have a problem with max loads. Be Careful!
