Ive never been one to reload until recently when i traded a custom rifle for a semi custom rifle and reloading equipment. The rifle i traded for is in 7 rem mag but the one i have questions about is an old FN mauser deluxe i picked up that has been rechambered from 30-06 to 30 B. Newton. All i can find is that 30 B Newton is 30 Belted Newton or 30-338. Im finding places that make brass or even loads but is quite expensive. Im questioning selling as i dont have much interest to rebarrel and ruin that beautiful rifle by putting a modern barrel on it. What would i be looking at for reloading cost wise? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, i would also like to ask if the two rounds really are the same or are there differences. I read the creator of the 30 Belted renamed it to the 30-338 because he simply necked down 338 win mag to a 30 caliber so he could hold more powder. Is this true?

Go ahead and read this thread, everything you need to know is covered here

If you want perfect dies, you could get a chamber cast or fireform 3 308 norma mag casings after trimming them to fit, and then send the 3 fired casings to hornady. They'll make a set of custom dies for around $300.
