Im just getting all my equipment for reloading. All I have left to do is get primers, bullets and powder...and I have to build my bench....
I have been searching for what seems the most broadly used load for the 06. I really haven't found one load that was used more than another. I am going to be mainly deer hunting in Missouri, but I would like to load for coyotes in the future. If anyone has input on either of these options I would be loading for please let me know. I am not sure what brand or even style of bullet yet although I have been looking at Sierra's Gameking soft point for deer in 150gr or 165gr.

The 150's in the ballistic tips hold up well on deer? i shoot factory ammo now that are 150 gr and my rifle loves them so I would like to stick to 150's

52grns of Imr4064 under a 150grn Nosler BT with a Fed210M or a 165/168 Nosler BT over 59.5grns of H4350 with a Fed210M.

I'm a big fan of a 165gr bullet in the 30-06. I feel it delivers more punch than a 150gr bullet and more velocity than a 180gr bullet, the perfect fit you might say.

I practice with a 168gr Sierra MatchKing and hunt Deer with a 165gr Sierra GameKing. If I were to hunt anything bigger or with thicker skin I would load a 165gr Nosler AccuBond or Partition bullet.

I use nothing buy H4350 with all the bullets I mentioned and when loading for the M1 Garand I load a 150gr bullet over H4895.

Yep, you took the words right out of my mind. Great loads for the 30-06. and the Seirra 150 gr SP works just as good and the ballistic tip on deer.

Anything you use on a coyote out of the 30-06 except a cat sneeze cast bullet load is not going to be fur friendly.

If you want a flat shooting one bullet and load to do it all from deer down to coyote give the Nosler 125 gr ballistic tip with 53.1 grs Varget a try. As long as you keep the impact velocity under 3000 fps the 125 ballistic tip is DEADLY on deer. It is a game bullet not a varmint bullet. I use it in all my 30 cal. firearms for deer.

MID- you do not say what rifle. 30-06 cartridge is one of my favorites. besides the loads mentioned , i like 50.5 of varget , 168 cbt or berger, lapua brass and a 210m or br-2 primer.
