Some of you have asked about the 280 Sherman ballistics so I thought I would post on some recent chrono tests.
My friend built one on a 700 Rem action using a 26" Lawrence barrel and finally got around to some real data.
We didn't have much time but tried a couple of likely powders with the 162 A-Max. The top velocity load was with 63 grains of RL-22 which cranked out a little over 3100'. H1000 shows some promise at over 3000'. We hope to do some more testing and get some long range data when work slows down a little ........ Rich

Ya, 7828 would probably equal the RL22 if it acts like all my other rifles. I don't think I could get enough BMG in though:D
