Has anyone converted 28 nosler brass to 26 nosler brass? I am hoping and assuming that you neck it down through a sizing die and then trim to appropriate length. Is it that simple or has anyone else attempted and encountered a problem?
Thanks in advance.

I have gone the other way, 26-28 and that was as simple as running it through the sizer for 28 and fire forming. Necks got a little shorter but it worked to get a rifle running when there was NO 28 brass available. Glad those days are in the past.

The 28 is longer than 26 or 30, I wouldn't think you could push the shoulder back far enough to get it to work without wrecking the brass, but I could be wrong, and I know one sure way to find out if it works or not.....

The only difference is the length from the case base to neck shoulder junction because its a 6.5 necked down 7mm case .
There both 2.16 to the shoulder and .528 dia.

Yes you can.
When I got my first 28 there was no brass for 28 then. Lots of 26 brass so that's what I used.
Necked up and it worked great.
