About 2-3 years back a few of us here on the site bought short chambered barreled Remington actions from PTG. I ordered a 300 WSM but they called and said none came in would I like a 270 WSM. I thought what the heck I've got a 300 WSM and 4-5 other 30 cal magnums. I'll try a 270 WSM. So had a gunsmith friend ream it. Bought a Grayboe stock too and it's been in the safe for a while. I finally got around to putting it together today. Other projects going on.

I mounted a Signtron 4x16, 44mm but it had a bump on the ring that hit the bolt. Not that I like high rings for 44mm but ordered high, be here next week. I don't like the aluminum bolt shroud or bolt handle. Will stainless finish epoxy paint like I did the Aluminum floor plate. Matches the Talley rings to tee even the texture. I've used epoxy paint on for years, hold is pretty dang good if you do it right.

I don't have a clue if it's a Remington barrel or whatever. Some of the barreled actions here Hart etc. I bore scooped it and looks as good as my match grade Shillings.

I like the Grayboe Terrain stocks in Gap Plash Camo. Wish I would have bought a couple more barreled actions.

Thanks Billy

I have a 300 WSM in a Browning BLA if it counts lol and a 325 WSM which I love in a very accurate Winchester XPR. Also have a Model 70 in 7mm WSM but my first 270 WSM. Heck I might as well build a 6.5 WSM too lol.

I have to admit Grayboe does a good job on their camo finishes. They have some nice ones.

I say I love it. I haven't taken any game other it. Hunted the same buck with its 3 years with it lol.

It's a cheap XPR but really cool finish and camo stock. Shoots 200 grain pills at half MOA give or take at 100 yards. Single stack mag feeds like a dream. Great winchester trigger.

It's a good ole gun more so than the round but I have to believe a 325 is way under rated.
