Gun hawk is absolutely correct. And when state or local regulations infringe on our rights as citizens of our great country, we have the right to relocate to a state that not only allows but supports the activities we cherish so dearly. Thanks Gunhawk for for highlighting that. Gibbs
EXACTLY why I moved from PA to WY!

There is not enough difference between the 260 and the 6.5CM to warrant a big argument about which is superior. I prefer the 6.5x55 over them both , but, of course, the x55 is better suited to a somewhat longer action. i have, at present, 700 Classic in 6.5x55, and a 721 Remington rebarrelled to 6.5x55AI. These are 8 twist units, and i have shot both out past 1000 yards with pleasing results. This years Elk was not too pleased with the AI. One shot at 355 yds, drt. 142 LRAB at 3000+. If I had to choose between the CM and the 260, I would toss a coin, since I shoot no factory ammo at all. Dave.

I have a regular 260 and a 260 IMP with 30 degree shoulders. Both have a 1-7.5 twist barrel from Keriger. The 260 IMP is my PRS rifle and it leaves the 6.5 CM behind. Here is my 5 shot group at 100.

I personally prefer the 6.5x55 and the 260. I bought 3 of my grandchildren 6.5 Creedmoors ONLY because they can buy ammo for 6.5 CM a lot easier than for the 6.5x55 and the 260 since I won't be around to reload for them forever. Bummer!
