.257 Barnes lrx 101gr

Keeping this thread alive - forever!

I want to replace the 100gr TTSX in my 257 Roberts AI with the 101gr LRX. I'm getting groups of .6" @ 100 yards using RL17 but feel I could tighten them up considerably as this rifle shoots the TTSX into .18" groups. How far are you all jumping the 101gr LRX? I don't have a lot of RL17 left for load development and it seems to be like unobtanium the past 3 years or more.

This is not exactly on topic, my family has three 25 go to deer rifles, A 257 AI and 2 2506's all with 1-10 twist, we all shoot the 115 gr tsx, it says right on the box requires 1-9 or faster twist, im just guessing but collectively between deer antelope and a few hogs we accounted for 60 plus animals all with exceptional results, On animals out to 600yds, and accuracy is better with the tsx in 2 of the rifles than any other bullet, my brother 2506 shoots the 115 gr Nosler BT a little better but it holds 6/10th with the Barnes, so I'm thinking you should be fine, although I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
