Anyone using any of the newer powders in the 250 Savage AI? My first AI cartridge. I think that I would like st s
Try Nosler accubond 110 grain bullets, seems like would be a good choice for whitetail, coyotes, and such. Any advice would be appreciated

The 90 gr hammer absolute will get you some vel out of that 250 ai and is plenty of bullet being a mono recommended twist 1-10 minimum

I tested quite a few powders with barnes and hammer bullets in my 250 AI. A few powders that shot great in my rifle are;
IMR-4451, IMR-4166, Reloder 15 and 16, SW Match Rifle, and the top powder with 75 Hammer was IMR-3031. LT-32 shot groups .6 and under but SD numbers were all in the 20's. IMR-3031 had single digit numbers and best group was under .1". The 75 hammer works great on everything from varmint to deer so far.

I've not settled on a final load for either bullet as too many other projects have come up. The day I tested; I was not shooting to the best of my ability. Not even close. With the 75HH, I will be retesting 40.0, 40.2 and 40.4. With the 90AH, I plan on reshooting 42.5, 42.7 and 42.9.

What's you charge and speed on these 2?
40.0 gr IMR3031 with 75 HH, 3526 fps, grouped .032, ES 8, SD 5.7 in my rifle.

I should add that in my old 243 with Hornady 100 gr interlock, a load of 35.5 gr would put bullets in the same hole and took countless deer.
