Anyone shooting a .243 Win with a 9.25" ROT: could you please post the longest/heaviest projectiles that you have had best accuracy with? I have referenced the Berger twist rate calculator, however have seen people using projectiles that achieve only mid-marginal stability (according to the calculator) per their twist rate yet have achieved very good accuracy out to >1000m. Wondering what member experiences have been in this regard.

For reference, I am reloading for a Savage 12 with 26" heavy barrel (factory). Not ready to change the barrel out just yet, though will opt for a faster twist when I do.

Best,

Chris

I have a savage 10 with 9.25 twist. It stabilizes the 105 gr AMax just fine. It is my main bullet for target and varmint hunting. Extremely accurate out to 850 yrds. Running at 3050 fps.
