Just picked up a Tikka for my boys. It is a compact model in 243. Anyone have one and recommend a good round for accuracy? Will hunt whitetails with it.
I actually picked up a box of this at the LGS yesterday so hopefully I get similar results. This is impressiveI was in same boat 3 yrs ago with the same rifle.
Both Nosler 100gr Partition and 90 gr Ballistic tip ammos shot well to 300 yards.
We got in a bind that yr, and both were sold out locally, so I bought this stuff. I get it may not be as stellar in your rifle, but I was impressed.

Keep me posted, I recall the kids hunted that weekend, but we practiced the next week. They were smacking 5" steel at 3&400 yards off a tripod with the stuff.I actually picked up a box of this at the LGS yesterday so hopefully I get similar results. This is impressive

The next yr they wanted more scope, the writing was on the wall, I rebarreled to a fast tw, and restocked it.

I don't know yet. I bought it sight unseen from a friend who doesn't know. He isn't really a shooter. How can I tell? Will the serial number allow me to look it up?Is it an 8 or 10 twist barrel?
