24", 6.5-06 numbers?

What are some realistic velocity numbers that can be acheived with 140s from a 6.5-06 with a 24" barrel?

I'm talking a hunting rifle that needs to be accurate, not winning a velocity race. I have just heard the sweet spot for the 6.5mm 140s are in the 2900ish fps range.

I never owned a std. 6.5-06 but shot an A.I. for years. You will probably top out at a little over 2900' with a 24" barrel. My A.I. topped out at around 3100' with a 26".......Rich
