I'm currently using 40 grain CCI blazer lead round nose from my CZ 455 with very good accuracy but shots (other than head) on ground hogs at distance are not quick killing. I was wondering if anyone was using hollow points for ground hogs and what kind of accuracy they were getting?
I found and tried Remington CBee 22 hp but accuracy was unacceptable.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is what I tried. Doesn't say yellow jacket but there is one on the package.
Yellow Jackets are different. I think Remington stopped making them a few years ago. They are 33 gr Truncated Hollow Points. I squirreled away 1\2 dozen Bricks years ago.
do a search on the internet

I use .22 CB Quiets.
Used a little .410 w/#4 shot this past weekend because of homes in the background.

Aguila loads a 60 grain in 22 LR they hit really hard also cci stingers are a good choice. I use 29 grain cci short hollow point for squirrels and they are awesome..quick kills and very little meat damage

I ALWAYS go for the head shot with ground hogs with my furthest shot at 190 yards using Federal HV GM match(1200FPS). I have also had good success with Lapua Center—X and Remington Golden 22 HP. I personally see little difference in killing effectiveness between rimfire HP's and solids…and for head shots, it's irrelevant. I get similar results with my two Savage 22's. A TR and a BVSS….Both very accurate with a variety of ammo.

If you want to step up and greatly increase your range get a Savage B Mag in .17WSM. 3,000 fps. From ground hogs to Coyote. Devastating!
