As others have stated, the CCI copper matrix shells suck. The Win tin ones are much better, but not like lead. WinMag CCI green TNT work pretty well. At least in my experience.

To be totally honest folks I think trying to shoot a non-leaded heeled bullet in a .22LR is borderline ########. I would make do with a HMR, 22MAG or even a PCP pellet rifle. what needs to happen is the ammo mfgs need to quit making the stuff. with ammo outlawed there is your winnable lawsuit.

I have killed thousands of squirrels over the years. The Norma Ammo is almost as good as lead. It kills them dead. If u have a 22lr rifle you should try it

But I like my 17hmr better. And use my air rifle too

I retired my Ruger 77/22 22 Stinger combo and purchased a Sako Quad varmint 17 HMR, after the law changed. Found that CCI lead free ammo is accurate and very impressive on impact. One of my favorite movie lines "Endeavor to persevere".

They will never vote them out, but, If they all pool their resources they might be able to sue them out of the chokehold they have on them. Personally, I would let them have it, and let them finish turning it into something they even cannot live in.

It's about there now. I got out of Ca. thank God but I have family and friends there. They complain but all a can say I move. It's very nice to live in a free state.

The administrations and agencies get many laws and regulations pushed through the back door no matter what, even with mass voter disapproval. With many issues not even having a vote! Example is on many national forest or public areas we are not allowed to shoot targets anymore. We can still hunt, with valid license, but only during open seasons can you carry a firearm! The lead ban is just another control step for the non gun regime. ' sorry starting to vent!

I agree. I call it Mexico-North or Mex-alfornia now. I say if you are left stay there or go there. I am leaving too. Have been a Montana register for 12 yrs now. I still have a home in Mex-North, and it's going up on the market shortly. My sons are in the north now too. Last one out turn the lights off.

There is an old saying that you can vote yourself into socialism but you have to shoot your way out of it. I think the only alternative is to use the courts to get your rights back. Its how you lost most of them. You may not be that effective in high profile elections. Work the local elections. Esp prosecuters and judges. Or give up.

They are in the Varmint class, and open season 366 days a year. As far as copper and lead bullets I don't know. I don't shoot here anymore. I don't get anything or purchase anything in Mex-N. It all go to Montana. No sales tax either. It's one of the states that allow you to carry a pistol without a permit. 24 state allow this now.

You don't need a permit here to carry open or concealed. A non resident can carry open. I have a Wy. CCW permit that's good in 37 states. You can guess the ones it not good in...

OK now I gotta vent. You folks cry constantly that there is nothing you can do and they beat you every time. Do you not think they try the same crap constantly in the rest of the country? You can bet your last boattail they do. What makes you different is you don't believe you can beat them. And you can't as long as they have that over you, you are toast. Here is a recent perfect example of what I am talking about. The Libs wanted money to push their agenda in the schools at home. They got up an election, legally advertised it in some obscure rag, and got their buddies all to come out and vote. Local DJ got wind of it on election day and told on them. We heard about it on the way to dinner. Stopped and picked up a daughter and we all three voted against it on the way to dinner. Turned out the measure failed by 2 votes. You think your vote and your voice doesn't count? Maybe yours doesn't but I'm going to make #### sure mine does. Weather yours does or not is totally up to you.

Shooting non-game species like ground squirrels and coyotes still requires non-lead ammunition in firearms. All firearms hunting in California requires non-lead ammunition. It might be possible to get a depredation permit that allows use of lead ammunition, but I think that is unlikely.

And steel shot on upland game and any bird.

I'm no biologist, but I don't see black vultures, turkey vultures, ravens, crows, magpies, caracara, jays, coyotes, bobcat, mountain lions, and all the other birds and animals that eat gut piles, dying off from lead poisoning. What a lie.
