I just picked up a new 22 Creedmoor with an 18" barrel. I see where others are getting 3200 fps with 75 and 80 grain bullets. I'm using Peterson brass and CCI 450 primers. I got up to 43.3 grains of RL26 before getting sticky bolt lift. Velocity averaged 2911 fps. Also tried some H4350 with similar velocity results. How are people getting 300+ fps more than I am out of 18 inch and shorter barrels?

I'm running a 16.5" barrel with a suppressor and getting 3050 with an 80 grain Berger.

Personally I would be trying a faster powder as RL26 in a short barrel doesn't seem like your best option. RL16 or H4350 would be perfect. I'm currently using 39.1 grains of H4350 to get my velocity.

I'm getting around 3050 with 75 grain Berger's and h4350 in a 16"

Probably along the lines that no 2 crono's read the same even from same manufacturers and model. Same as no 2 barrels will produce same velocity or accuracy with all being equal. Also consider everyone here shoots at differing elevations, temperatures, and other atmospheric influences. Just my .02
