Velocity from 6.5 Creedmoor

I'm going to post it anyway !

26" McGowan on my brothers rifle I built runs 2840 with factory ammo. Fast eats I've ever seen. I've been around a lot of creeds and most run 2650-2850 with 20-26 barrels. Majority run 2650-2750. I was running 2800 in a 20" proof but it proved to be bit too hot so I'm back down to 2650-2700

24" Remington, 140 ELDM @ 2855, verified out to 800 in temps up to 100F with no pressure.

Definitely a sweet spot and 150fps over the factory match offering.

My wife shoots 143's over 50 grains of RL26 at 2930 from a Tikka Superlite. That's a 5 shot average over a Magnetospeed. Not sure what brass life is like because it just gets hunted with. She doesn't shoot a ton.

I have 2 6.5 CM`s, one is a tikka 24" that I shoot 2750 fps (140 eld-m) the other is a 26" Savage thatshoots Ruger American Gunner 140 bthp`s at 2720. I call BS on a Ruger American with a shorter barrel going 3100 fps. However, I easily broke 2900 fps with RL 26 and 140 eldms in the Savage. RL 26 is a velocity monster in this cartridge.... H4350 shoots better for me tho. I would ask him if he even owns a chronograph....
No way! Is my vote..

I use Hornaday 140 ELD-M in my 6.5 CM RPR and the FPS is 2800. Lapua brass. 42.6 H4350, BR4 primers, 140gr ELD-M, SD 4.5

I have yet to understand the emphasis on velocity. I have better accuracy at lower velocities. my 6.5 creed is at 2750 average, with 140 gr VLD and IMR 4451 40.6 gr. Browning a/bolt II 26" barrel
