My 2022 bow Black Bear

Got this beautiful boar on the ground during the second week of bow season and I could not be more excited. He squared at 6' 7" (81"x77"), and 19 8/16" on green skull size. Not sure on the weight as we only had a 300lb hanging scale. Field dressed, he pegged the scale out way past 300lb before...

Got my black bear from '22 back and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Thought I'd share some photos:

Thank you, it was done by North East Taxidermy in Connecticut. Joe does absolutely incredible work there. $4400 out the door too which for a life size bear mount is unheard of today!

Looks great .that is how I rate the quality of the taxidermist is the face . I think Cats are the hardest to get right I have seen more mountain lions look cartoonish. That being said you have to pick the right person for the animals you harvest every one has there strength and weaknesses

I know exactly what you're saying my friend had a bobcat mounted, and I don't know if it looks cartoonish or drunk, but does not look lifelike.

Cats are definitely what I see screwed up most often!
